A hotel sauna runs twelve hours a day. Ignis 9 uses a heavier element gauge and a 40 kg stone bed so it recovers between guests instead of chasing setpoint all afternoon.

Installation requirements

What the room has to provide

Published so your architect, electrician and contractor can plan around it — before the walls close.

Electrical: Dedicated 3-phase circuit, 400V, 3 × 20 A MCB with 30 mA RCD.
Cable: 5 × 4 mm² heat-resistant silicone cable to the control unit.
Clearances: 60 mm to side walls, 150 mm to the front bench, 1200 mm to ceiling.
Ventilation: Mechanical extract required for commercial duty. 8–10 air changes per hour.
Room build: Foil vapour barrier over 70 mm insulation; benches in thermally modified aspen or alder.
Drainage: Floor drain required where the room is washed down between sessions.

Commercial installations require a timer and an occupancy cut-out under NBC electrical practice.
